With the tour "Tour to Segóbriga from Cuenca" we will first visit these important ruins of the city where the Romans settled in Emperor Augustus , on remnants of Celtic civilization.
It is considered one of the great cities of its time in the Peninsula, coming to house a theater , an amphitheater , great public baths, a basilica , temples , markets , etc., sample of the great splendor that lived the city of Segóbriga in ancient times.
Then we will go to the heart of the Alcarria, where we will know one of the main activities that drove the Segóbriga growth . Specifically we will visit the "Caves of Sanabrio" , Roman mines of crystal of Hispania that the Romans called lapis specularis . Here we will discover a perfect example of the importance of mining in the surroundings of the city.
Later, we will arrive at Noheda village, where we will take a guided tour to know the attractions of the place. In addition, we will see the mosaics of Noheda, 2 beautiful Roman mosaics dating from the fourth century, brought to light in 2005. This has been one of the most relevant archaeological discoveries in recent years. Our guide will tell us why.
To end our visit, we will return to Cuenca enjoying the landscape of the Alcarria, Cuenca, passing through the Río Mayor Valley .
