The guide will pick you up at your hotel to enjoy a guided walking tour in Jerez, considered the cradle of flamenco and not without reason. Jerez is to be proud of the place that has famous Flamenco spawned artists like Lola Flores, José Mercé, Manuel Torre, la Paquera and Moraíto.
Accompanied by your expert guide, you will also stroll to the cathedral and the Alcazar, the palace of the Moors, the medieval city center and the various churches of the "Reconquista", the reconquest of Spain by the Catholic Monarchs. The courts Arenal and Plateros provide the perfect opportunity to take a short break before going on to also derived from the medieval neighborhoods of San Miguel and Santiago, where either the animated terraces of bars and cafes with shops and boutiques.
Later on, you will enjoy a flamenco show in one of the famous "peñas flamencas" of Jerez, that have established and can breathe formally Flamenco.
There, you will also try the Andalusian cuisine, distinguished by its tapas culture. Typical foods in Jerez de La Frontera are ajo campero (garlic-tomato paste), el puchero (special pot), cola de toro (oxtail), chicharrones (crispy fried pork rinds), riñones al jerez (kidneys), choco con papas (cuttlefish with potatoes), berza Jerezana (stew) and alcauciles al jerez (artichokes). Jerez is also the perfect place to taste delicious wines as Fino, Amontillado or Oloroso.
