With this La Coruña tour from Santiago you will get to know a magnificent city on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, which boasts the longest promenade in Europe, as well as the majestic Torre de Hércules, the oldest working lighthouse in the world. In addition, we will visit Betanzos, the capital of Galician Gothic, with one of the best-preserved historic centers in Galicia.
Our day trip to La Coruña & Betanzos will begin by visiting the Torre de Hércules inside, where we will stand at the foot of this magnificent construction to delight ourselves with its surroundings and the marvel of the gulf Ártabro.
Once we have discovered all the ins and outs of the area, we will continue with a guided walking tour of the old town of La Coruña, stopping at emblematic places such as the Plaza de María Pita, known warrior who gives its name to the main square of the City of Crystal.
We will pass by the Church of San Jorge, the Church of Santiago, the viewpoint and the Garden of San Carlos, among others. We will also see Riazor beach, near the Deportivo de la Coruña football stadium and admire the wonderful panoramic view of the gulf.
Later we will have 1 hour and a half to have lunch (lunch not included) before continuing to Betanzos, one of the seven provincial capitals of the old Kingdom of Galicia, whose old town has been declared a Historic-Artistic Site.
We will pass through the main sites of interest of the city, such as the Gothic Church of Santa María del Azogue, the Church of Santiago and the Church of San Francisco. In addition, there will be free time to try "The best omelette in Spain", winner of the contest held annually in Betanzos.
Finally, we will leave for Santiago de Compostela, where we will arrive around 7:00 p.m.
